Hello Wayne, I completely agree. I've put 15,000 km on my X now. I changed the fork oil for a denser one during the service, and it's a completely different bike. Offroad, too. I also have TKC 80s up front and Mitas Enduro Trail x Dakar rear. A perfect combination.

The power is very smooth and linear with a top speed as indicated by Beta. The suspension is very compliant for small hits but I find it a little too soft ( I weigh 155 lbs). My back ground is off road riding, currently have a 23 250rr and a 21 300 Xtrainer, both bikes have MX Tech suspension.
Ohlins has a shock upgrade which I will purchase, still looking to find an upgrade for the forks. This is definitely not an offroad single track bike, don’t buy it if you think you will be doing any hard enduro..lol. Great bike but only for mild single track and fire roads and of course great for city riding.

I hope they sell well and prove to be reliable. The Alp X is exactly the kind of bike I’ve been wanting to see from the Japanese for a long time; a sort of neo-retro scrambler. I love it!
